I've been going for two months, and as far as I can see, it is relatively well- equipped, clean, and not too crowded. Yeah, it gets a LITTLE crowded on Monday evenings but not nearly as bad as I've seen in, say, the Downtown Seattle 2. ![]() I wish they had some lighter EZ- Curl bars, but that's okay. I totally appreciate the number of stairmills here, especially because they are always functional. Patrons are mostly polite, friendly, and considerate, except for the few bad apples who don't freaking put their weights away when they're done! ![]() ![]() Take your damn plates off the freaking bar!). There is plenty of free parking as well, which is always a plus. It's in a centrally- located strip mall, too, which is nice because I can get down on a footlong tuna at Subway across the street after leg day! I found this killer 2 year deal at Costco and swooped up on it. I have never had a problem with finding a workout machine or area but then again I have been avoiding the peak times. The staff is very friendly and the overall cleanliness of the facility is pretty clean for a gym. Nothing special when it comes to equipment but it has all that gym is supposed to have. I love the layout and how spacious it is. The staff are always very friendly! Definitely recommend to visit! Maybe I still am, but I would've never thought I would regularly go to a 2. I started working out at the IMA at the University of Washington. ![]() ![]() Since then, a couple other gyms I used to go to were filled with families with kids. Like they would bring their kids to the child care there while they worked out. For some reason, I feel like that is less threatening. Like they really are there to work out, not to mess around, because it's so much trouble to go already. Though when it gets busy (after work from 5- 7pm), it gets annoying that they only have one squat rack, two benches for barbell benching, and two flat benches that have the incline/recline feature. Also, there are only 4 stairmasters of which one is often out of order. All other Cardio machines are in abundance, but of which I rarely use. In that case, it is very typical to have to wait around for them to be available. Kinda buzz kill on your workout routine and makes your time at the gym much longer than desired. It's kinda nice to see people plus or minus my age by 5 years are so. People seem like they are there to work out and not just to mess around. On occasion that they are, they def don't become regulars anyway. Every now and then (half the time) you find the less considerate folks that don't re rack their weights. ![]() Annoying to take off multiple 4. Not that I need any help from them nor do they offer much, but usually always a friendly greeting. Went in for a 3 day pass and Brandon the asst manager says he can't find me. I can tell he was trying to make up stuff. Don't waste your time here. I've been going here for years, I don't know what's happened. Equipment isn't as new as it use to be, but that's ok that is to be expected. Prices have gone up a bit. I wish they had a hot tub. Friendly people at the desk, easy parking, and working equipment (though the gym is not as big as some of the other locations). Plus, Safeway is right next door so you can get groceries after your workout. I've only been here once so maybe my review is not very objective. Like oh my god what is his problem? The other staff was nice though. It seems that it would be a good gym for someone who's mostly into cardio, but for lifting, it is less than ideal. I only went to this gym once while I was staying in Renton. So, take that into consideration if you're reading my review. The free weight area was pretty much empty. I think there was only a couple other people working out over there. Not sure if there were more people earlier in the morning. All I know is all the dumbbells were racked, the ez curls were racked and the workout are was clean and organized. But they had all the equipments that I needed. If I remember correctly, the dumbbells were in increments of 5- lbs instead of the 2. I'm used to. Why not? I like it here. Like Craig's class too. Zumba is fun. This is really not a bad option for the area. The gym has all the essentials you would need for a standard workout, but without all those bells and whistles you will find at upgraded clubs such as the one in Issaquah. I personally don't need a sauna or a basketball court. Plus, there are enough cardio machines that you don't have to wait for one even during the evenings when they can get pretty busy. And everything is fairly clean/hygienic. You receive access to all of their classes as well (yoga, step, etc.) and it's considerably cheaper than their other packages. They greet you when you arrive and leave, so you feel like a valued member. I been working out here ( and the downtown bellevue location) for 3 years. I was at this club when it opened, and it has only gone downhill. There are 2 spray bottles in the gym. CHAINED to the wall!!!!! The paper towels next to it are minimal. Can't remember the last time i saw a human being clean equipment. The place truly smells like a locker room. Shame on 2. 4 hour. Located in a strip mall in Renton. Clean, plenty of machines, friendly staff. Overall, it's a good gym.. This is a smaller . They also lack a few benches in the free weight area. There are maybe two flat, two incline and one decline so during peak hours good luck finding one. All in all it does the job, just wish it was a tad bit cleaner and offered a few more machines but with the room they have to work with, I guess I can't complain too much. Also, the gal working the front desk during my visit today was very friendly; members seemed to like her. I have been going since February and have never had any issues. I never have to wait for any machines or weights even when it's crowded. They have a wide range of ways to work out which I like. The staff is mostly friendly except for one or two snotty girls. I did have one issue with my automatic withdrawal for paying my monthly fee which was lame but other than that no complaints! I am there at least 4 times a week and the price is totally worth it for how much equipment and room there is. The locker rooms are nice and big and most importantly clean! I really enjoy working out here. I have been going to this 2. Hour Fitness - Renton, Washington Hours, Locations, Opening & Closing.
